Quality Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations by ensuring product quality, compliance with customer specifications, and continuous improvement of quality systems. This role will work closely with engineering and production teams to develop inspection processes, perform root cause analysis, and maintain quality standards within a high-precision machining and assembly environment.

As a Quality Engineer, You Will:

  • Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop in-process inspection methods and ensure product quality
  • Interpret technical drawings and specifications to define inspection requirements and methodologies
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Develop and maintain inspection, testing, and evaluation standards
  • Support and guide quality inspection teams on inspection procedures and blueprint interpretation
  • Manage daily activities of quality inspection operations, including receiving and outgoing inspections
  • Maintain and support quality management systems and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Conduct internal and external audits and support corrective action processes
  • Analyze quality data and respond to customer complaints and quality issues
  • Create and maintain quality documentation including manuals and procedures
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and processes
  • Manage supplier quality performance and conduct supplier audits
  • Prepare and maintain quality reports and performance metrics

Qualifications:

  • Strong experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in blueprint reading and interpretation of technical specifications
  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Knowledge of inspection methods, tools, and quality processes
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 quality systems preferred
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
