Full‑time Laboratory and Treatability Technician. Perform laboratory work including analyses and maintaining labware. Technician will perform the duties described below.
Responsibilities- Develop operating procedures and perform tests for various water and wastewater treatment operations (e.g., jar tests, Silt Density Index, bench and pilot scale evaluations, column and batch testing for ion exchange resins, carbon adsorption, activated alumina, filtration systems).
- Collect data by measuring and recording operating conditions such as pumping rates, pH, ORP, temperature, and pressure.
- Operate and perform light maintenance on small‑scale equipment (pumps, heaters, mixers).
- Prepare samples for testing and reagents for in‑house lab analyses.
- Perform laboratory tests: pH, dissolved oxygen, colour, temperature, ORP, alkalinity, hardness, TSS, TDS, COD, TOC, turbidity, phosphorus, total Kjeldahl nitrogen/ammonia/nitrite/nitrate, combustion ion chromatography.
- Pull samples for third‑party laboratory analysis.
- Maintain reagents and lab inventory, calibration records, SDS documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of lab equipment, plasticware/glassware, and operating areas.
- Manage and communicate data.
- Mechanical aptitude/technical background desired.
- Experience/training in bench‑top wet inorganic chemistry analytical procedures desired.
- Detail oriented, precise solution making, data handling, instrument operation.
- Strong initiative, willingness to learn and grow.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Communication skills with team members.
- Proficiency with standard laboratory instruments (pH/probes, conductivity meters, TSS meters, spectrophotometers, balances, volumetric glassware).
- Non colour‑blind.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

- BS degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology, or related field.
