Research Associate, Research Scientist, Research Assistant​/Associate

The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include conducting research in the molecular functions and biological roles of the novel chimeric fusion product of TOMM
40 and APOE, the two highest risk genes for Alzheimer's disease, aging-related cognitive decline and life expectancy in humans.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to collaborate with other colleagues and participate in challenging research projects in the lab, attend research conferences, publish his/her work on scientific journals.
