The laboratory of Dr. Anand Bhagwat at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a highly motivated and creative Postdoctoral Scholar to join an innovative new research program focused on how AML cells interact with the immune system and how this impacts outcomes for children with AML. We view immune therapies as a lens through which we can make crucial basic science discoveries about AML biology.
An example of this line of investigation can be seen in Bhagwat et al., Nature Medicine 2024.
Current projects investigate:
- How the host's inflammatory exposures alter AML phenotypes and therapy responses
- How leukemia lineage plasticity is affected by immune pressures
- How leukemia alters immune function
- Translational approaches to overcome intrinsic leukemia resistance to immune therapies
