Job Description SummaryOur group employs its collective, wide-ranging experience in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Engineering to conduct various research studies focused primarily on lung function and pathology. The successful candidate for this position will take the lead in an ongoing study focused and unilateral lung transplantation subsequent to ex vivo lung perfusion (EVLP) in a rodent model. In addition to planning and performing the surgical procedure itself, they will perform duties including but not limited to: animal transport to and from the animal housing facility, tail vein injection and intubation, implementation/performance of a small animal EVLP model, as well as post-operative animal care and imaging (both CT and MRI).
They will take the lead in researching, drafting and submitting relevant regulatory paperwork, will aid in the creation of manuscripts for publication, and will also supervise and train students and other staff involved in EVLP and transplant studies.
This position is contingent upon grant funding.

- Master of Science and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Pay Range$66,000.00 - $76,973.25 Annual Rate
