Legend Biotech is seeking a R&D Manager Leadership Development Program, Solid Tumor as part of the R&D Leadership Development Program based in Philadelphia, PA.
Role OverviewThe Early Career Leadership Program at Legend Biotech is a strategic, enterprise-focused development experience designed to accelerate the growth of high-potential professionals early in their careers. Rooted in our commitment to cultivating enterprise-minded, value-driven leaders, this program provides structured rotational exposure, executive mentorship, and real-time business impact across scientific, operational, and corporate functions. The R&D Hi-Po Leadership Development Program is a project-based, enterprise leadership accelerator designed for high-potential PhD graduates who aspire to shape the future of cell and gene therapy.
Over 2.5–3 years, participants will lead 3-4 high-impact, 8-12-month strategic projects across R&D, Preclinical Development, Technical Development, Business Development and Regulatory Affairs. This immersive experience is built to cultivate scientific leaders capable of translating discoveries into development, advancing complex pipeline programs, and influencing cross-functional strategy. Participants will gain enterprise exposure, executive mentorship, and access to a formal Annual Leadership Development Series focused on strategic thinking, regulatory and clinical acumen, and senior leadership readiness.

- Participate in solid tumor team's routine drug development candidate selection to support pipeline development.
- Participate in the development of new in-house enabling technology for solid tumor, including new armor design and testing, in vitro model development, assay development, single cell characterization.
- Propose new initiatives for solid tumor in vivo CAR-T and work with cross-functional team for execution.
- Recent PhD graduate (within the last 5 years) in Biological Sciences, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Cell Biology, or related life sciences discipline.
- 2-3 years of research experience (academic or industry); life sciences or translational research experience preferred.
- Experience in Cell Therapy for solid tumor is preferred
- Demonstrated record of scientific rigor, innovation, drive and analytical skills.
- Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
