Research Associate; Zaret Lab

Position: Research Associate (Zaret Lab)
The Department of Cell and Developmental Biology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years).

Expertise is required in the specific area of pulldown-mass spec, protein purification and reconstitution, stem cell culture and differentiation, molecular biology, genomics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include Investigation of the basis by which gene regulatory proteins can invade heterochromatin to elicit cell fate changes.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to urther develop critical thinking skills, familiarize with related literatures and experimental techniques, prepare manuscript and grant preparation, present research findings in national and international meeting, mentor junior scientists, and participate in career trainings offered by the University.

Candidate should have a minimum of 4-5 years of postdoctoral experience
