Job Description Summary
The Bhoj laboratory is looking to fill the position of a Research Specialist
A. The laboratory, a core member of the Center for Cellular Immunotherapies (CCI) at the University of Pennsylvania, is focused on the development of novel engineered T cell immunotherapies. Project are primarily focused on building therapeutics for diseases that are driven by immune dysfunction including autoimmunity and organ transplant rejection. The new lab member will be responsible for assisting with experiments and will likely have opportunities to lead their own projects as expertise and independence allows.
The person will also assist with some day-to-day aspects of lab operations and duties such as: maintenance of reagent and supply inventory, establishing and maintaining lab records, maintenance of personal laboratory notebook, and training new lab members.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 0-1 year of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Preferred,some level of wet-bench lab experience.
Preferred qualifications/experience include: familiarity with immunology, experience with basic molecular techniques, flow cytometry and animal (mouse) handling.
The competitive candidate is one who has excellent organizational skills and is self-driven.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level. Internal organization and peer data at Penn are also considered.
