Research Specialist A

The goal of this position is to provide technical support in molecular and cellular biology projects ongoing in the laboratory, focusing on mechanisms of human T cell differentiation and cellular immunotherapy. The ideal applicant will have strong quantitative skills and the ability to work independently (in a see-one, do-one, teach-one type of approach), as well as experience in molecular and cellular biology techniques such as DNA cloning, sequencing, lentiviral production, tissue culture.

This position would be an excellent preparation for graduate or medical school admission.

• Technical support for cloning projects (DNA cloning, sequencing, lentiviral production)
• Cell culture
• Data analysis and database management (DNA sequences, protocol management, data recording)
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Bachelor of Science and 0 to 1 year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preference given to applicants who have a bachelor's degree in biology at the time the position begins and a history of undergraduate research experience. The ideal applicant should have a history of outstanding academic achievement and demonstrated skills in working independently and in teams.

This position is contingent upon funding.

Salary offers are made based on the candidate's qualifications, experience, skills, and education as they directly relate to the requirements of the position, and in alignment with salary ranges based on external market data for the job's level.
