Clinical Research Coordinator C

The Traumatic Brain Injury Research Initiative within the Department of Neurology (TBIRI) is seeking an experienced, adaptable Clinical Research Coordinator C to independently coordinate and execute multiple investigator-initiated and industry-sponsored studies involving acute and chronic traumatic brain injury. TBIRI conducts innovative research involving neuroimaging, blood biomarkers, neuropsychological assessment, pharmacological and device interventions, and other emerging technologies.

The CRC-C will function as a senior member of a multidisciplinary research team and will report directly to the TBIRI Program Lead under the supervision of the TBIRI Principal Investigators. This position requires a high degree of independence, organization, flexibility, and clinical research judgment within a fast-paced and dynamic environment where priorities may shift quickly based on patient availability, clinical status, and time-sensitive study requirements.

The CRC-C must demonstrate strong situational awareness and interpersonal judgment, including the ability to "read the room," recognize when and how to approach patients and families, and adapt communication style, timing, and tone to sensitive or complex situations.

The CRC-C will independently conduct study activities throughout the research lifecycle, including screening, recruitment, informed consent, study visits, assessments, biological sample collection and processing, data collection, longitudinal follow-up, and regulatory maintenance. The position will also support study start-up and closeout, monitoring and audit preparation, study documentation and tracking, and other administrative and operational needs.

As a senior coordinator, the CRC-C will serve as a resource to CRC A/B-level staff and assist with onboarding, study-specific training, and ongoing development. The coordinator will be expected to proactively identify and resolve day-to-day operational and regulatory issues, maintain compliance with study protocols and applicable regulations, and appropriately escalate significant concerns to the Program Lead or investigators.
