Research Project Manager B
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine seeks a Research Project Manager B to facilitate the development and oversight of a primary care practice-based research network in collaboration with an existing Pediatric Research Consortium at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, with a goal of establishing an infrastructure for practice-based, community-engaged research that addresses community needs and advances primary care responsiveness and effectiveness.
Position contingent upon funding.
The PM-B will lead PBRN support staff in supporting clinical research that sets the standard for translational research across the Penn Medicine ambulatory network, coordinating collaborations, disseminating awareness of opportunities, working with PBRN leadership on strategic development of the PBRN with institutional representatives and across ambulatory sites. Pre-award support by the PM-B will include overseeing mentorship structures developed to support primary care research, landscaping of practice-based research interests and populations of interest, support in developing an advisory structure for the PBRN, and supporting teams in applying for research collaborations involving primary care sites with developed workflows, accessing population samples, and budgetary considerations.
Post-award support by the PM-B role will include orienting teams in recruitment/retention workflows and data collection processes across ambulatory sites, providing support for coordination of regulatory oversite for research projects involving primary care sites, and tracking studies' progress across involved sites. The PM-B role will facilitate collaboration with CHOP's PeRC to support research across the lifespan, promote Penn Medicine as a premier clinical research site, and serve as a key member of the Clinical and Translational Research Award's (CTSA) research administration team, helping shape the policies, standards, and programs that guide clinical research institution-wide.

Qualifications:
Master's and 3 to 5 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Preferred candidates will show documented and progressive clinical research experience, with resource and personnel management, as well as an expert understanding of IRB, ICH/GCP guidelines, and familiarity with FDA and other regulatory agencies.
