Committee For Children Account Executive
Looking for an opportunity to use your sales expertise in support of a meaningful mission? If so, then Committee For Children is an amazing place to grow your career as an Account Executive. We're a social enterprise dedicated to advancing the well-being of children through the development of essential human skills.
As an Account Executive at CFC, you will oversee assigned territories in the Northeast region to drive district priorities and initiatives focused on human skills and social-emotional learning (SEL). Success in this role requires strong consultative sales skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach to building new business. The ideal candidate brings a proven track record in selling digitally delivered instructional products and services, along with a solid understanding of the K–12 education landscape.
You'll be responsible for driving customer acquisition and supporting your districts in meeting quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Territory Sales & Development:
- Drive new sales and adoption of CFC programs within an assigned territory using proven consultative techniques and account strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Manage the full sales cycle—from prospecting and discovery through evaluation, procurement, and close—while maintaining a strong pipeline of opportunities.
- Identify key decision-makers, build relationships, and position CFC programs as solutions to their specific needs and challenges.
- Develop and execute strategic territory plans informed by industry trends, competitive insights, and market feedback to grow adoption and expand reach in the PreK–12 market.
- Overcome objections by focusing on the value and impact of CFC's solutions, not just features.
- Deliver compelling presentations and consultations to prospective districts and schools to support informed decision-making and smooth onboarding of new CFC program adoptions.
- Regularly report on pipeline status, forecasts, account plans, and field activity to support data-driven planning and execution.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of prospect interactions, opportunity stages, and pipeline activities in the CRM to support forecasting and territory planning.
- Represent CFC at national and regional conferences, as well as local events (e.g., district meetings, education fairs), to promote brand awareness, generate leads, and strengthen partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation of sales strategies and share customer insights to inform ongoing product and market development.
- Stay current on the education sector—including funding trends, competitor offerings, and policy changes—to continuously refine your approach and position CFC effectively.
Market And Program Knowledge:
- Maintain in-depth knowledge and expertise around CFC products, SEL market trends, school districts, competitive landscape, national and state funding policies, legislation and other factors
- Work closely with district and school leaders to develop deep and ongoing relationships and maintain knowledge of client initiatives, implementation practices, and potential barriers
- Act as an ongoing advisor with partners and district leaders for application and implementation of our programs in diverse educational and community settings
- Adapt to changing product, market and cultural sensitivities and assist customers in adapting to those changes including but not limited to program reviews, digital product purchases and implementation strategies
Here's what we're looking for:
- Ability to travel on average 10-15 days per month. The number of travel days may vary based on business needs.
- 3+ years of sales experience in the edtech industry
- Proven success in consultative sales, with experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting to close
- Experience selling digital instructional products or services, ideally within the K–12 education sector
- Strong knowledge of the PreK–12 landscape, including funding sources, district decision-making structures, and education trends
- Skilled at delivering persuasive presentations, adapting messaging to different stakeholder needs and roles
