Duties
- You will serve as a work leader for a group of journey-level workers in a variety of trades in work which involves assembling, installing, modifying, maintaining and disassembling test and plan installations of naval machinery.
- You will direct skilled trade persons in the execution of work.
- You will assign immediate tasks, demonstrate work methods, set pace, and check work, assure the work is completed, and report to the supervisor on work status or cause of work delays.
- You will install and operate marine machinery, equipment and systems including complex new research, prototype, and commercial mechanical systems and equipment.
- You will operate equipment under test, support systems and facilities in accordance with test procedure, record empirical data and recommend modifications to operating scenarios and prototype equipment as needed.
