CoGen Service Technician

Cool Sys is seeking a skilled CoGen Service Technician to join our union team supporting commercial and industrial customers. In this field-based role, you will install, maintain, and repair cogeneration and HVAC-R systems, perform preventive maintenance, and respond to service calls to keep mission-critical equipment running safely and efficiently. You'll diagnose electrical and mechanical issues, interpret schematics, document work performed, and collaborate closely with customers and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair cogeneration and HVAC-R systems for commercial and industrial customers
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on mechanical and electrical components
• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, controls, and system performance issues
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics
• Respond to field service calls and complete work orders accurately and on time
• Follow all safety procedures, codes, and company standards on customer sites
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and repair status to customers and supervisors
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and company vehicle in safe working condition
• Document service activities, parts used, and system conditions in service reports
• Collaborate with team members to support efficient, reliable, and energy-efficient operations
