Economic Mobility Counselor

  • Connect clients with community resources, job training programs, and financial education services
  • Monitor client progress and adjust plans as needed to ensure sustainable economic mobility
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records and documentation
  • Collaborate with community organizations, employers, and other stakeholders to support client success
  • Stay informed about current economic trends, social services, and relevant policies affecting clients

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Economics, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Proven experience in counseling, social services, or economic development
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport
  • Knowledge of financial literacy, budgeting, credit repair, and employment resources
  • Ability to assess client needs and develop practical, achievable plans
  • Empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help others improve their economic circumstances
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus
