As a Recovery Specialist, you will:
Peer Support & Engagement- Utilize lived experience to build authentic peer-to-peer relationships with Persons in Recovery (PIRs).
- Serve as a role model, mentor, and advocate to promote hope, resilience, and long-term recovery.
- Support individuals in identifying strengths and using personal assets to achieve recovery goals.
- Provide recovery-focused education to individuals, families, and staff.
- Facilitate or support participation in peer recovery groups, including NA, AA, and other mutual-aid programs.
- Assist individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and relapse prevention strategies.
- Encourage engagement in treatment services and recovery-oriented activities.
- Connect individuals with community resources, supports, and recovery networks.
- Support person-centered interventions outlined in individualized service plans.
- Assist individuals in building meaningful social connections and increasing community involvement.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
- Model recovery-oriented behaviors through maintaining personal wellness and self-care.
- Participate in training, supervision, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities.
