this position supports children and families by responding to reports, completing investigations, and providing in home services with supervision and guidance.

• report response: receive and investigate reports of child abuse and neglect
• family support: provide in home case management services with guidance from supervisors
• court participation: take part in court activities including placement and adoption processes
• training completion: participate in extensive training on agency rules and child welfare practices
• data entry: enter case information into the case management system in a timely manner
• on call duties: join the mandatory on call rotation with support from agency supervisors

• work hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, monday - friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

• two years of experience as a county social services aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
• any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a county social services aide 3 or in a similar position performing paraprofessional case management functions.

applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within two months of graduating with a qualifying degree/credits.

• pa residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
• this particular position also requires you to possess a valid driver's license which is not under suspension.
• you must be able to perform essential job functions.

• a conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening.
