Lead Auto Test Engineer with Java and iOS OR Android

Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) – 17729 Rate: $60 / hour on W2 only.

Job Location:

Philadelphia, PA 19102 F2F or Skype

This is SDET with Java, NOT a pure Java Developer. This person must come from a previous development background in Java, able to read/write Java and pass a Java test. Also need someone with a Mobile test background, in iOS versus Android as well as Automation experience.

• Analyze user stories and manual tests in order to create automated software tests

• Create automated software test suites for sprint based releases on multiple and simultaneous projects

• Create and maintain data sets for tests Documenting and execute test cases

• Communicate progress of automated test development

• Analyze, interpret and summarize test results and metrics and communicate to appropriate teams.

• Work with a strong collaborative Agile team

• Train, mentor and influence other staff on software automation

• Drive selection of frameworks, architectures and tools used in test automation

• Foster and maintain good relationships with Product Engineering to ensure processes are integrated to support expected quality

Must Have:

• Expertise in the principles of software automation

• Several years' experience developing automated tests for iOS applications

• Experience with Acceptance Driven Test Development and Continuous Integration

• Extensive coding experience in Java. Must be able to read/write Java and pass Java code test

• Experience with some of the following:
Cucumber, Selenium, Web Driver and TestNG

• Experience with some of the following:
Jenkins, Hudson or Jbehave

• Knowledge and experience with software engineering best practices

• Demonstrated experience providing estimates on requirements and solution information

• Demonstrated experience creating automated tests for multi-tier, web-based applications

• Demonstrated experience creating automated test solutions on at least two of the following operating systems:
Windows, Linux, and Mac OSX.

• API or Service Testing experience

• Experience developing test automation frameworks

• Demonstrated experience in mainstream, end product oriented Java development, outside of test development

• Experience with critical data validation including accuracy of formulae and algorithms used in the processing and reporting of stored data

• Working experience in both Linux and Windows environment

Nice to Have:

Ability to design and execute performance/load/stress tests with both web and windows client applications is a plus

Prior experience leading/mentoring Junior Developers.
