We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer with strong Python development skills and Dev Ops expertise to join our platform engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain high‑quality software while also contributing to our infrastructure and deployment processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain Python-based applications and services
  • Implement Dev Ops practices to improve deployment processes and system reliability
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment
  • Configure and manage cloud infrastructure resources
  • Monitor system performance and optimise application efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure code quality standards
Requirements
  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Strong Python programming skills with demonstrated proficiency
  • Experience with Dev Ops practices and tools (CI/CD, infrastructure as code, gitops)
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Experience with monitoring/logging/tracing solutions
  • Experience with message queuing systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, BullMQ)
  • Proficiency with databases including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis
  • Experience with Python's asyncio for asynchronous programming
  • Excellent problem‑solving and debugging skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Python web frameworks (Flask, FastAPI)
  • Understanding of microservice architecture
  • Knowledge of security best practices
  • Contributions to open‑source projects
