DESCRIPTIONOF WORK
This position supports the safe transportation of consumers to medical and social program appointments. As a Part-time Van Driver, you will perform the following duties:
- Driving Safety:
Operate vehicles safely and skillfully while following all state traffic laws - Geographic Awareness:
Navigate the local area using general knowledge of routes and landmarks - Vehicle Inspection:
Inspect automotive equipment to identify signs of defective operation - Consumer Assistance:
Assist consumers during transport and provide basic information about riding in county vehicles - Information Confidentiality:
Protect all consumer information and maintain confidentiality at all times
- Part-time employment
- Work hours and days may very with a maximum of 18 hours per week.
- Telework:
You will not have the option to telework in this position. - Salary:

- One year of employment which required operation of a motor vehicle as a regular duty; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- You must possess a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
- No suspension of driver’s license within the last three years.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Potter County. If no eligible candidates who live within Potter County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
- Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
