Location:

Roseberry Head Start, Phillipsburg, NJ

Hours:

As needed, not to exceed 8 hours a day. Salary: $17.28–$19.59 per hour.

Job Overview:
We are a fast-paced and high-demand, non‑profit program that depends on everybody in every position to help our centers function with ease. You will gain diverse experience working with an at‑risk population.

• Assist classroom staff in maintaining a safe, clean, and healthy environment for children and staff.
• Support classroom activities and lesson implementation.
• Promote positive child interactions and development.
• Assist with daily routines and caregiving tasks.

• Minimum Education Level: High school diploma working towards CDA to be completed within two years of hire.
• Preferred Education Level: Child Development Associate (CDA) – Bachelor's degree in early childhood education or related field.
• Experience:
  
  Experience working with young children.
• Preferred Experience:
  
  2 years' experience in early childhood education and direct experience with at‑risk population, Head Start experience.
• Personal characteristics: compassionate, organized, flexible, communicator, team-player.
• Physical abilities:
  Lift 30 pounds.
