Infection Preventionist (RN) – Complete Care at Brakeley Park
Location:
Phillipsburg, NJ. Full‑time position. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Complete Care at Brakeley Park seeks a dedicated Infection Preventionist (RN) to lead our clinical team in maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality care, and infection control throughout our center.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee the facility Infection Prevention & Control Program
- Monitor and investigate infections, outbreaks, and trends within the center
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and NJ Department of Health regulations
- Conduct surveillance, audits, and reporting related to infection prevention
- Educate and train nursing staff on infection prevention protocols and best practices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes and quality measures
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in QAPI initiatives
- Assist with policy development and implementation related to infection prevention
- Active New Jersey RN or LPN License required
- Infection Prevention certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Long‑term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of infection control regulations and practices
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to educate, mentor, and support clinical staff
- Experience with electronic medical records preferred
