Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician | Phillipsburg, New Jersey Full-time | Contract-to-Hire

Shift: 6 am – 4 pm

Targeted pay rate: $29-32/hr depending upon qualification Kelly Engineering seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our client's team. In this role, you'll be supporting advanced robotics and automation systems at the client location by performing preventative/predictive maintenance and troubleshooting issues.

Recent mechatronics and electrical technical school graduates are encouraged to apply!

Responsibilities

Perform corrective and preventative maintenance tasks on robots, systems, and industrial machines/conveyors
Work both autonomously and collaboratively
Assist with installation and deployment of new systems or machines
Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
Submit daily or weekly activity reports and coordinate closely with the site’s team leaders to prioritize work

What You'll Need:

1 – 5 years of maintenance experience
Good general knowledge and competency in electrical and mechanical maintenance operations
Strong communication skills
Computer literacy (Microsoft Office, Excel, Slack, CMMS, SharePoint)
Experience using multimeters

Nice to Have

Skills:

Exposure to robotics
Experience in warehouse, logistics, or material handling automation
Certifications:

OSHA 30, NFPF 70E, Scissor Lift

Ability to Meet Physical Demands of Job:

Use and manipulation of standard hand tools
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
Working from heights of up to 50 ft
Use and operation of lifts with a manufacturer’s rated capacity of 250 lbs., including tools and equipment (approximately 30 lbs.)
Stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling to access and repair equipment at ground level
Working on overhead equipment, including extended reaching and manual dexterity
