Position Summary
Assists with scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair ofall Automated Material Handling systems.
Previous material handling system experience is notrequiredfor this position.
- Uses advanced troubleshooting skills to diagnose and repair mechanical problems.
- Diagnoses mechanical and basic electrical problems using technical drawings.
- Minimize downtime and unsafe conditions by performing preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment.
- Assistin troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues.
- Document maintenance activities and repairs.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas.
- Assistin inventory management and spare parts tracking.
- Follow all OSHA and internal safety standards.
- Mustpossessa passport along with the ability to travel to Canada and Mexico.
- 3 years’ experience working as an automotive technician, HVAC system, elevator repair, electrician, building maintenance or experience working with machinery or equivalent experience
- 1-2yearsworking in material handling industry preferred but not required
- Experience with CMMS platforma plus
- Working knowledge of handheld and power tools and how to use them
- Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and basic electrical defects
- Ability to interpret both mechanical drawings
- Self-motivated, organized and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of safe industrial work practices
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to workinand contributetoa team setting
- Intermediate computer skills including MS Office
- Abilityto follow maintenance manuals and procedures to repair equipment
- Abilitytoassistin the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of all material handling equipment and component sis a plus
Hourly Rate: $25.00-$38.00
