Body Shop Helper-Tow Truck Driver

The Body Shop Helper/Tow Truck driveris responsible for the delivery of Body Shop, Service, and Sales vehicles, along with the Body Shop with Q/C's and other duties.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

Responsibilities

• Picks up, and delivers vehicles for Sales,Service, and Body Shopdepartments.
• Loads and unloads vehicles on flatbed/tow truck.
• Arrives to scheduled appointments in a timely manner and maintains communication with guests regarding any changes to scheduled time.
• Inspects and maintains flat bed/tow truck vehicle supplies and equipment, such as gas, oil, water, tires, lights, and brakes in order to ensure that vehicles are in proper working condition.
• Performs emergency repairs such as changing tires or installing light bulbs, fuses, tire chains, and spark plugs.
• Obeys traffic laws, and follows established traffic and transportation procedures.
• Must follow all company safety policies and practices.
• Assists the body shop department, as needed
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
• Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene, and uniform appearance.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent;
• A minimum of one (1) year experience with driving a tow truck desired;
• Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles; determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it; pay attention to detail; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public;
• Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

• Sits and drives for long periods at a time.
• Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs.
• Exerts maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects and use hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
