About the RoleA leading manufacturer of industrial products in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Cost Accounting Manager to oversee cost management and financial analysis for manufacturing operations. This cost accountant supervisor position offers competitive compensation, benefits, and bonus eligibility.
What You'll Do as Cost Accounting Manager- Lead strategic cost management initiatives to drive manufacturing efficiency and profitability
- Analyze and optimize plant KPIs (key performance indicators) and production costs
- Manage month-end close processes in SAP ERP system for USA business unit
- Oversee annual physical inventory counts and cycle counting programs
- Calculate manufacturing variances, scrap analysis, and waste reduction metrics
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Evaluate financial impact of production issues and process improvements
- Provide cost accounting guidance to plant managers and operations teams
- Coordinate audit preparation and regulatory compliance activities
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 3+ years of cost accounting experience in manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
- Must live in Phoenix, AZ metro area or willing to relocate
- Advanced proficiency in SAP ERP, Microsoft Excel, and Power BI
- Strong understanding of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation
- Manufacturing cost accounting expertise (GAAP, inventory controls, product costing)
