Accounts Payable Manager

LHH is partnering with a highly sought-after employer in the financial services space in Phoenix, Arizona! Located in the South Phoenix area, we are searching for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager with over 7 years of experience. This role is 4 days in the office and 1 day remote

Compensation is up to $115k + 15% bonus and $13k annual stock grant opportunity. Excellent medical/dental/vision, 401k and PTO plan offered as well!

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include:

• Reviewing and approving payments to ensure timeliness and accuracy
• Overseeing vendor relationships and payment schedules, including ACH, checks and wire transfers
• Oversee a team of 5 AP Specialists, which includes training and conducting performance reviews
• Handle escalated transaction or vendor-related issues by conducting thorough research/investigation to resolve discrepancies
• Perform high-level invoice reconciliations, post journal entries and partake in other month-end and reporting functions
• Assisting with process improvement projects and other Ad Hoc requests

Education, Qualifications and Skills Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or related field
• Over 7 years of AP experience, including 3 years of management-level experience
• Must have some accounting knowledge related to reconciliation, journal entries and month end close
• Must have experience using large ERP system, such as Oracle or SAP
• Experience working for a larger company and/or high-volume environment
• Excellent mentorship, time management and prioritization skills
