Position: Senior SEC Accountant ($100-110k)

Job Title: Senior SEC Accountant

Location: Phoenix, AZ (4 Days' In-Office)

Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Overview:

A leading, fast-paced financial services firm is seeking a Senior SEC Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is a high-visibility role that offers the opportunity to work on complex financial statements, SEC filings, and collaborate across departments in a publicly traded environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual SEC filings, including 10-Ks and 10-Qs
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting standards
  • Assist with internal and external audits and maintain SOX compliance documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including accounting, FP&A, legal, and investor relations
  • Monitor new accounting pronouncements and assess impact on financial reporting
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives related to reporting and compliance

    • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required
  • 3+ years of experience in Big 4 public accounting with exposure to SEC clients, or
  • 3+ years in a financial reporting role at a public company
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and financial statement preparation
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
