Interim Accountant - West Valley

Overview

Vaco is hiring an Interim Accountant for a top client in the West Valley. This is an onsite position paying up to $35/hour, ideal for an experienced accountant with construction industry experience. This role offers the opportunity to step into a hands-on position, make an immediate impact, and support a well-established organization through key accounting and reporting functions.

• Hands-on exposure to core accounting operations in a fast-paced environment

• Opportunity to support month-end close, audits, and financial reporting with meaningful responsibility

• Manage daily accounting activities and review financial transactions for accuracy and compliance

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and research discrepancies

• Prepare and maintain internal financial reports to support business decisions

• Maintain multiple schedules related to grants, audits, and month-end close activities

• Assist with month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations

• Support financial statement review, analysis, and research

• Assist with annual audit preparation and respond to auditor requests

• Provide accounting support for special projects and ad hoc reporting needs

• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 3 years of related accounting experience

• Construction accounting experience required
