Senior Accountant

Our client is an established Semiconductor Manufacturing company in the North Phoenix AZ vicinity, and are seeking an experienced Global Accounting Manager, to join and support the construction & building of a new 2M+ sq. ft. semiconductor manufacturing facility site.

The Senior Accountant will manage the monthly financial review and closing process, will work with various departments to analyze and properly account for the related transactions, will support internal and external financial reporting, will research and document accounting positions.

• Prepare and/or review journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet & income statement analytics and fluctuation explanation
• Prepare and/or review various reports related to the internal and external financial statements Oversight and ownership of assigned key processes and related controls
• Research and develop accounting positions for new, unusual and/or infrequent accounting events Review contracts and determine the appropriate accounting treatments based on US GAAP and company policies
• Lead elements of accounting, analysis and reporting related to other areas as assigned
• Provide timely analysis and reporting for crisp decision making to the Executive team
• Lead or participate in various ad-hoc analysis and special projects, including compliance with SOX requirements
• Able to commute between Tempe and Peoria for meetings, eventually 100% onsite in North Phoenix 85383 within the next 2 years.

Bachelor's Degree, or Masters in Accounting, Finance, or similar disciplines

CPA License is preferred, yet not required

3+ years of recent experience with global accounting background, US GAAP, SOX, internal controls

Semiconductor and/or manufacturing experience is preferred

Working experience s with SAP, Oracle, or other ERP is a plus

Possess excellence skills with an ability to work effectively with all levels of management

Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office Excel for reporting
