Construction accounts payable specialist

Father & Son Masonry is a growing, family-run construction company seeking a dependable and detail oriented Accounts Payable Specialist who can make an immediate impact and thrive in a hardworking, team oriented office environment.

Job Type: part time to start (full time-opportunity available with additional responsibilities)

Pay: Depending on experience

Schedule: Monday-Friday, starting at 7:00AM

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Specialist with a strong construction accounting background (preferably masonry and/or concrete)
expert Quickbooks skills

• processing accounts payable and vendor invoices
• gather, print and organize incoming invoices and supporting documentation
• verify invoices have proper approval prior to entry
• confirm pricing aligns with approved quotes and agreements
• Reconciling accounts and managing payment schedules
• reconcile vendor accounts and manage payment schedules
• meet with management for month-end final invoice review and approval
• Communicating with vendors and internal team members
• communicate with vendors regarding invoices and discrepancies
• make sure all receipts are turned in from other departments
• Support additional accounting or administrative duties as needed
• filing, mailing, and general office support
• assist with additional accounting or admin duties as needed

• Minimum 5 years of verifiable accounts payable experience
• 5 years of Quickbooks experience
• strong construction Industry experience (masonry/concrete preferred)
• high school diploma or equivalent
• relible person with excellent attendance
• preference given to candidates who live near office
