Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct performance audits and follow ups on previously issued performance audit reports of State agencies, school districts, and programs.

* Gather information and help identify areas of inquiry, perform audit procedures to obtain evidence, and prepare well-documented work papers to support audit findings and recommendations.

* Draft audit findings and appropriate recommendations for improvement that meet Auditor General standard for clarity and completeness.

* Verbally communicate the results of your work with Auditor General and State agency management.

Qualifications:

* Progress toward a master's degree in a field emphasizing research, writing, and analyzing data; candidates in your junior or senior year of a bachelor's program in a similar field will be considered.

* No accounting degree or accounting experience needed.

* Interest in public service and improving State government.

* Strong verbal and written communication and research skills.

* Well-developed interpersonal skills.

HOURS:

Flexible hours, 15-40 hours per week, to meet your school schedule.
