Job Responsibilities:
- Direct daily accounting activities for a portfolio of real estate assets, including residential and commercial properties
- Manage financial close cycles and ensure timely preparation of accurate reports
- Review financial statements to confirm alignment with accounting standards and internal policies
- Monitor project-level cash flow and support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to maintain compliance and support audits
- A minimum of 5+ years in accounting, including at least 2+ years in a leadership role
- Familiarity with real estate accounting practices, including lease and development cost tracking
- Skilled in using financial software such as Yardi, MRI, or Quick Books
- Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail in financial reporting
- Capable of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines under pressure
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline; CPA certification is a plus
- Proven ability to lead and mentor accounting staff in a collaborative environment
- Experience implementing process improvements and optimizing accounting systems
- Effective communicator with the ability to present financial insights to stakeholders
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with asset management and development teams
