Hybrid (4 days onsite/week)
Compensation: $90k - $110k + 10% bonus + 4 weeks PTO + $5,000 LTI (stock options) + 401k matching (100% match up to 5%)
What you'll do:
The position of Senior Accountant is responsible for assisting with the accounting and financial reporting of the Company. This position reports to a Financial Reporting Manager as well as collaborating with other members of the accounting staff on a range of matters, such as monthly GL close including preparation of schedules, journal entries, reconciliations, SEC reporting, regulatory reporting, or other assigned projects.
This position also ensures compliance with SOX, all policies, procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
In addition to the above, the individual selected for this Sr. Accountant role will play a significant role in supporting the companys reconciliations within Oracle ARCS, which is used to monitor the completeness and accuracy of all GL reconciliations performed throughout the company. Duties may include administrative tasks, project management tasks, coordination with and training for users, and/or updating status of enhancement efforts.
- Work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager and Director to complete the month-end, quarter-end and annual close process.
- Provide support to all assigned areas in the Accounting Department where service or assistance is needed.
- Be heavily involved in the reconciliation process of GL accounts.
- Assist with preparation of financial schedules and analysis that comprise regulatory, SEC, and internal reporting.
- Monitor, maintain, and implement procedures.
- Assist in accounting for complex transactions such as loan sales, acquisitions, and disposals, goodwill impairment valuations, and other transactions that require research and analysis.
- Guide and train junior staff as required or assigned.
- Contribute to interpretation and implementation of accounting pronouncement changes.
- Interface with management, external auditors and regulatory agencies concerning accounting and SOX requirements.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or business is required.
- Five+ (5+) years accounting experience with progressively increased responsibility, preferably within a financial services firm, is required.
- Either a public accounting background, or public company experience is required - exposure to SOX compliance is required.
- CPA license (or CPA path) is preferred.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $ per year
