Staff Accountant

About The Role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This role is ideal for someone early in their career who's eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. You'll work closely with our Senior Accountants on key projects and day-to-day operations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financials.

Location: Phoenix AZ 85029

Schedule: Full-time, On-site

• Assist in monthly close procedures and reconciliations
• Manage and review credit card and marketing invoices
• Support the tracking of accrued liabilities and expense accounts (e.g., AMEX cards, expense departments)
• Help prepare and present budget reports
• Participate in audits by compiling necessary financial documentation
• Contribute to various projects under the direction of Senior Accountants
• Maintain accurate records in line with internal controls and company policy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
• 1-2 years of experience in accounting, ideally through public auditing
• Understanding of accounting principles (e.g., fixed assets, depreciation, balance sheet expenses)
• Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow professionally
• Prior exposure to ERP systems or audit support preferred

• Experience as a teacher's assistant for accounting classes
• Internship experience in accounting or finance
• Understanding of financial audits and how to prepare for them
