Interim Senior Accountant

Location: North Central Phoenix
Work Schedule: Hybrid, 3 to 4 days onsite
Duration: 2 to 3 months, with potential for permanent conversion
Pay Rate: $40 to $48 per hour

We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Accountant to support a healthcare organization during a short term engagement. This role will play a key part in day to day accounting operations, including journal entries, reconciliations, and general close support. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 to 4 days onsite in North Central Phoenix, and is expected to last approximately 2 to 3 months.

There is potential for conversion to a permanent role based on mutual interest.

• Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely
• Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support month end close activities
• Assist with general ledger maintenance
• Provide support to accounts payable, including invoice review and processing as needed
• Collaborate with internal finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Adhere to healthcare accounting standards and internal controls

• Senior accountant experience
• Prior healthcare industry experience required
• Strong experience with journal entries and account reconciliations
• Some exposure to accounts payable processes
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Comfort working onsite as part of a hybrid schedule

The pay range is $40 to $48 per hour. The individual may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
