Vaco Phoenix is working with a stable and growing company that is looking to add a payroll specialist to their fun and loose environment. This position requires the preparation, processing, and maintenance of basic payroll responsibilities. The ideal candidate must have experience processing payroll for 1000+ employees and possess multi-state processing experience. This role is perfect for someone seeking to establish their career and grow with a stable company.

This role is full-time (40 hours/week), located in Phoenix, AZ, with a salary of up to $65,000 per year.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of full cycle biweekly payroll functions.

Assist with payroll functions including data entry, timesheet review, reconciliation, and payroll-related record keeping.

Verify all pay statements during preview for accuracy and process adjustments if necessary.

Participate in month-end related tasks.

Provide timely and accurate reporting of manual checks.

Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.

Desired

Experience:

Strong desire to learn and grow professionally.
3+ years of payroll processing experience.
General accounting background.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
