Accounts Payable Analyst – Phoenix, AZ

Fender Musical Instruments Corporation is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst who will process vendor invoices, resolve discrepancies, and provide general accounting assistance in a highly automated environment.

Essential Functions:

• Process vendor invoices and credit memos, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers to resolve intricate processing discrepancies and source missing information.
• Respond to inquiries from various levels of management promptly and professionally.
• Provide general accounting assistance for accurate coding of invoice and credit transactions, identification of prepaid assets, accruing for unrecorded liabilities, and identification of taxable vs. non‑taxable transactions.
• Initiate workflow approval requests for pricing or quantity discrepancies and/or missing information.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve pricing/quantity discrepancies with limited supervision.
• Own the generation and analysis of month‑end reports, ensuring timely and accurate reporting for the accounts payable function.
• Support special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable, processing vendor invoices and credit memos in excess of 1,000 documents a month with high variability.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Experience interacting with external and internal customers supporting the prompt resolution of inquiries.
• General accounting knowledge, including purchase order and non‑purchase order processes.
• Proficient understanding of three‑way and two‑way matching processes.
• Experience processing accounts payable for a manufacturing business is nice to have.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with accounts payable automation tools and software.
• SAP experience preferred.
• Experience with vendor setup and maintenance is a plus.
• Strong judgment and attention to detail to ensure accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and maintain pace with processing metrics and deadlines.
• Willingness to learn quickly in a fast‑paced environment and take responsibility for professional development.
• Strong customer service skills and a positive, team‑focused attitude.

Compensation: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year.
