Job Cost Accountant:
Paul Davis Restoration is seeking a skilled, organized, and detail-oriented Job Cost Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate would be responsible for monitoring/controlling job costs, importing/entering information into billing software, and ultimately generating timely and accurate invoicing.
About Us: Paul Davis Restoration of Greater Phoenix is part of a national franchise organization that provides services to repair and clean up damage to residential, institutional, and commercial structures from a fire, water, storm, mold, or other disasters. Founded in 1966, Paul Davis is a rapidly growing network of more than 350 independently owned and operated franchises.
The Position:
- Collect cost information and maintain an expenses database.
- Assist in Invoice and bill gathering /recording.
- Perform day-to day accounts payable and entries.
- Plan and record variable costs (e.g. purchases of raw material and operations costs).
- Review standard and actual costs for inaccuracies.
- Create accurate and timely invoices in accounting software.
- Daily deposit recording of checks and ACH payments received.
- Assisting in month-end and year-end closing.
- Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Manage work order management and verification
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
The Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred but not required Finance or relevant study.
- Previous experience as a Cost Accountant, Cost Analyst, Accountant or similar role.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures.
- In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Experiences with accounting software, specifically Quick Books
- Computer literacy, MS Excel (familiarity with VLOOKUPs and pivot tables).
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills.
- Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information.
- Knowledge file management, transcription, and other administrative procedures.
- Work on tight deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Extremely organized.
