Position: Accountant II - Full Time
Job Description
The Accountant II will be responsible for preparing advanced general ledger and close activities, producing accurate financial statements for assigned functional areas, preparing budget variance explanations, reconciling complex balance sheet accounts, and preparing operational reporting and analysis as required. The Accountant II must have a familiarity with all relevant information systems, take ownership of assigned processes, and support process efficiency and continuous improvement.
Commitment to integrity, business ethics, and upholding internal controls is required, as is a commitment to accounting discipline, professionalism, and process documentation. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential as this position serves as a liaison between operational teams and Accounting.

Job Duties Prepare accurate and timely financial statements for assigned functional areas.Ensure all assigned reconciliations and journal entries are completed timely and with a commitment to accuracy and efficiency.Prepare operational analytical reporting requests.Assist Accounting team with various projects, including capital monitoring, cost segregation analysis, and annual financial statement audit.Provide feedback to management regarding policy and procedure changes and the internal control environment.Act as a liaison between operational departments and Accounting.Own end‑to‑end assigned processes and associated documentation.Communicate effectively with various levels of management.Identify opportunities to improve accounting workflows, reporting, automation, and process efficiency.Additional Responsibilities
Assist with documenting procedures and work instructions.Carry out ad hoc analytical projects as required.Provide general assistance and support for leadership, department, and Company.Qualifications
A four‑year degree in Accounting/Finance is required; additional education, training, or certifications are desirable.At least two (2) years of related accounting experience is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.Preferred candidates have prior accounting experience in a corporate setting, preferably in the hospitality industry.Experience in providing world–class internal/external guest service.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to convey technical information clearly to different audiences.Demonstrated commitment to pursuing professional certification is preferred (e.g., preparing for CPA, CMA, or other certifications).Keen attention to detail with a focus on quality, service, and compliance.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with multiple IT systems; experience with Workday financial system preferred.Proactive, exercises good judgment, and is comfortable anticipating issues.Strong organizational and planning skills; prioritizes work and adapts as needed.Ability to work as part of a team in a corporate setting.Physical Requirements
The position will be based in an office environment that requires manual dexterity for computer input and use of other business equipment.The position may require lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally.Some travel will be required, including travel to/from the estate.Must be 18 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.Please note:
