This role is part of a fast‑paced, high‑growth private equity‑backed healthcare organization focused on building modern processes, scalable systems, and a culture of continuous improvement.
The Staff Accountant will support a variety of core accounting functions while gaining exposure across multiple areas of the business. This role provides an opportunity to develop technical accounting skills while working alongside experienced accounting leaders. Responsibilities may include supporting areas such as revenue, payroll, fixed assets, leases, treasury, and consolidations. The position is well suited for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys learning new processes, and is eager to grow within a collaborative team.
Responsibilities- Assist with month‑end close activities across several accounting areas, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare account reconciliations and support variance analysis to maintain reliable financial records.
- Assist with journal entries, supporting schedules, and documentation related to close processes.
- Support special projects, system improvements, and process enhancements that promote operational scalability.
- Work cross‑functionally with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and alignment of accounting processes.
- Help maintain and improve accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Adapt to shifting priorities while contributing to a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
- Organized and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
- Proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi‑entity or complex operating environment.
- Foundational knowledge of U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting practices.
- Familiarity with accounting systems and financial reporting tools.
- Experience preparing reconciliations and supporting accounting documentation preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work in collaborative, high‑growth environments.
