Assets Manager

Vaco is partnering with a publicly traded company to identify a talented Fixed Asset Manager for a direct hire opportunity. This is a key role responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of fixed asset accounting within a dynamic, growth-focused environment. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in fixed assets, a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, and a proven ability to lead teams, enhance internal controls, and drive continuous process improvement.

• Serve as the subject matter expert for fixed asset accounting, overseeing processes, policies, and accurate reporting (including additions, disposals, and depreciation)
• Lead and review the work of accounting staff, including journal entries, reconciliations, and period-end close activities, while ensuring SOX compliance and strong internal controls
• Partner cross-functionally with internal teams (e.g., facilities, operational leaders) and external auditors to support asset tracking, reporting, and process enhancements
• Drive process improvements, contribute to budgeting and forecasting, and mentor team members in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in public and/or private accounting
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Experience working in a hybrid environment (3 days onsite / 2 days remote)

$120,000–$125,000 base salary, plus bonus potential
