Billing Specialist

Position Overview

Billing Specialist Commercial Division. This role supports the growing Commercial Division by managing billing processes tied to purchase orders for large‑scale construction projects.

• Project Billing & PO Management: generate accurate invoices based on contract terms, purchase orders, and project milestones; track, reconcile, and manage billing against multiple active POs; ensure compliance with client‑specific billing requirements; coordinate with project managers to validate billing accuracy; maintain organized billing records.
• Accounts Receivable Support: monitor outstanding invoices and assist with collections; resolve billing discrepancies and respond to client inquiries.
• Process Improvement & Technology: use ERP/accounting systems and AI tools to improve billing workflows; identify inefficiencies and implement process improvements; help standardize billing procedures across projects; support audits and reporting.

  partner with project management, operations, and accounting teams; ensure alignment between contracts, change orders, and invoicing.

• 25+ years of billing or AR experience (construction preferred).
• Strong experience with PO‑based billing.
• Proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (Sage, Quick Books, Net Suite, etc.).
• Tech‑savvy with ability to leverage AI tools.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines.
