Senior Accountant

Confidential Private Family Office | Scottsdale, AZ

A private family office with a diverse portfolio of operating companies, real estate holdings, and investment entities is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting team.

This is a unique opportunity for an accounting professional who wants exposure to a sophisticated, multi-entity environment with more variety than a traditional single-company accounting role. The position offers the chance to work across real estate, investments, and affiliated entities while gaining visibility within a stable, private organization.

The ideal candidate will bring either public accounting experience in audit or tax and an interest in transitioning into industry, or strong general ledger accounting experience within a multi-entity, real estate, investment, family office, private equity, or similarly complex environment.

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Maintain and analyze general ledger activity across multiple entities
• Support accounting for real estate holdings, investments, and affiliated entities
• Assist with financial reporting and management reporting
• Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Support external audit, tax, and compliance-related requests
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc analysis for leadership

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting, audit, or tax experience
• Public accounting audit or tax experience strongly preferred
• Strong general ledger, reconciliation, and month-end close experience
• Multi-entity accounting experience strongly preferred
• Real estate, investment, family office, private equity, or holding company experience is a plus
• Strong Excel skills and analytical ability
• CPA or CPA-track is a plus, but not required
