Position Duties

  • Plan and organize the financial aspects of the organization, including assisting the Controller in the development and administration of accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Provide leadership, direction and training to the Accounting Team.
  • Oversee cash disbursements through Payroll and Accounts Payable and review and approve daily disbursements above a specific amount.
  • Provide oversight of account reconciliations, review and prepare journal entries, and review a monthly close package.
  • Coordinate external audits and preparation of tax returns.
  • Work closely with the Controller to implement new policies and procedures and identify areas to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the department.
  • Manage the optimization of the ERP and GL system to drive efficient and effective processes in addition to timely and accurate period close and financial reporting.
  • Provide education on financial concepts to management and staff.
  • Compare actual financial performance to annual budget by analyzing budget variances and recommending corrective action.
  • Prepare or review the preparation of special financial reports as requested.
  • Assist in developing the annual capital and operating budgets as well as preparation of the long‑range forecast.
  • Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.
Position Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting – Required.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Business – Preferred.
Experience
  • Ten (10) years of related Accounting experience – Required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in multi‑entity consolidations – Required.
Special Skills
  • Interaction in a technical expert role with multiple levels of audience – Required.
  • Strong MS Excel skills – Required.
  • Experience working with a large ERP system, preferably Infor/Lawson – Required.
Additional Requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) – Preferred.
