Position is hybrid - 2 days a week in office and 3 days a week remote.

• Reconciling, closing ADOT projects to ensure timely release of funds
• Ensuring compliance with both Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) rules and regulations
• Analyzing and validating costs associated with project funding and interacting with federal agencies, local governments and multiple ADOT departments
• Researching project issues, providing solutions and making recommendations for process improvement
• Processing adjustments and preparing final voucher forms for submissions

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or closely related field
• 1 year of accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills in researching and resolving financial and technical data issues
• Analyze and interpret contract and financial data
• Apply Accounting and Auditing principles to project analysis
• Good written and verbal communication
• Microsoft Excel proficiency
