About the Role

We are seeking a strong Senior Accountant with direct experience in the staffing industry to support and support our national U.S operations s role is critical to ensuring financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across payroll, treasury, and accounting functions. The successful candidate will ideally have experience managing high-volume, weekly funding cycles and a deep understanding of how Asset-Based Lending (ABL) interacts with temporary staffing payroll.

This position is ideal for a CPA who has been working in a hands on general accounting role managing Treasury, Accounts Receivable, Management accounting activities such as month end, Payroll accounting & Monthly reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities
Treasury
  • Cashflow forecasting and liquidity planning
  • Monitor daily cash positions and manage the movement of funds between operating, payroll, and investment accounts
  • Oversee the corporate banking platform, including user access, payment approvals, and fraud prevention protocols (e.g., Positive Pay, ACH blocks)
  • Act as the primary point of contact for banking partners
  • Manage "Borrowing Base" reporting—ensuring the company’s accounts receivable aging is accurately reported to lenders to maximize available credit.
Core Accounting & Financial Operations
  • Own and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Prepare and balance monthly account reconciliations
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy for a nationwide staffing organization
  • Oversee management accounting, reporting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure accuracy of transactional accounting across commercial staffing operations
Payroll
  • Oversee Internal payroll
  • Assisting payroll team with ad-hoc queries
Expense & Credit Card Management
  • Manage company employee business credit card programs
  • Review, approve, and document employee travel and expense reports nationwide
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and proper expense classification
Accounts Receivable & Treasury Management
  • Lead Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including billing, collections, and cash application
  • Potentially manage treasury operations, cash flow forecasting, and liquidity planning
  • Monitor customer payment activity and resolve discrepancies
  • Understand and manage account payment receivables in high-volume environments
Leadership & Growth
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed
  • Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy
  • Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and internal controls
  • Act as a strategic thought partner with a long-term path to CFO
Qualifications Required
  • CPA required
  • Minimum 3+ years of Senior Accounting or Senior Accounting Management experience
  • Direct experience working in a staffing company
  • Strong understanding of multi-state accounting and payroll
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Treasury management
    • Accounts Receivable
    • Management accounting
    • Payroll accounting
    • Monthly reconciliations
    • Transactional accounting environments
