Directs the day‑to‑day operations of General Accounting and Financial Reporting. Responsible for the integrity of the general ledger, financial reporting, monthly and annual close processes, technical accounting, internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. Provides leadership for the accounting function and partners with the Controller and organizational leadership to support strategic initiatives, financial stewardship, and continuous process improvement.

• Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
  Provides leadership and oversight for all general accounting functions, including general ledger activities, account reconciliations, journal entries, month‑end and year‑end close processes, and preparation of accurate and timely financial statements.
• Accounting Policy, Compliance & Internal Controls
  Assists the Controller in establishing and maintaining accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting processes to ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, Uniform Guidance requirements, and organizational standards.
• Team Leadership & Development
  Leads, develops, and mentors the Accounting team, promoting operational excellence, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• External Reporting, Audit & Tax Compliance
  Oversees consolidated financial reporting and coordinates the annual financial statement audit, Uniform Guidance (Single Audit), tax return preparation, and other regulatory reporting requirements. Serves as a primary liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies.
• Technical Accounting & Strategic Financial Support
  Performs accounting research and evaluates the financial reporting implications of significant or complex transactions, including acquisitions, affiliations, leases, financing arrangements, grants, investments, and other non‑routine events; prepares technical accounting analyses and recommendations for leadership.
• Financial Systems & Process Improvement
  Oversees the optimization of ERP and financial reporting systems, strengthens internal controls, supports automation initiatives, and drives process improvements that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Miscellaneous Duties
  Performs miscellaneous job related duties as requested.

• Education
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting (Required)
  • Masters degree in Accounting or Business (Preferred)
• Experience
  • Ten (10) years of related Accounting experience (Required)
  • Five (5) years of experience in a supervisory role in multi‑entity consolidations (Required)
• Special Skills
  • Interaction in technical expert role with multiple levels of audience (Required)
  • Strong MS Excel skills (Required)
  • Experience working with large ERP system, preferably Workday, Oracle, or Infor (Required)
• Additional Requirements
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) (Required)
