Overview

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
• Provide year‑end tax planning for individuals and corporations; research and provide solutions for complex tax issues.
• Maintain knowledge of updates in tax law and multi‑state compliance.
• Supervise staff on engagement deliverables including financial statements, work papers, and tax returns; mentor, coach, and train staff.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, communicate solution options, and identify opportunities for growth.
• Assist in business development, client relationship management, and strategic development of the department.

• 4–10 years of technical tax experience in public accounting or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree required;
  Master’s preferred in Accounting, Taxation or related field.
• Active CPA or EA license, or currently in process.
• Strong communication, leadership, supervisory, operational, and project management skills.
• Technical skills: preparing and reviewing financial statements; year‑end tax planning; retirement planning insights; multi‑state compliance.
• Experience with tax software:
  Ultra Tax, Thomson Reuters suite, RIA Checkpoint, Quick Books; proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Prior experience meeting clients, working independently, and thinking creatively in planning.

Financial Statement & General Ledger experience required. Quick Books knowledge is a plus.
