Accounts Payable​/Risk Support Specialist

Vaco Arizona has partnered with a top company in Tempe to hire an Accounts Payable / Risk Specialist. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying up to $26/hour and is fully onsite. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys a mix of accounts payable, administrative work, and supporting a Risk & Insurance team in a fast-paced environment.

• Support the Risk & Insurance team with daily administrative and payment‑related tasks
• Process and track payments, including check runs and settlements
• Assist with vendor invoices and basic accounts payable duties
• Maintain and update claim files and ensure proper documentation
• Enter data and manage records across multiple systems
• Handle incoming mail, scanning, and document filing
• Monitor shared inboxes and respond to inquiries
• Work with internal teams to resolve payment issues
• Assist with reporting, audits, and month‑end tasks
• Support check processing, reissues, and payment research
• Provide strong customer service in a busy environment

• 3+ years of Accounts Payable and Administrative Support experience
• Strong Excel skills

Pay is up to $26/hour. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
